Because of features, such as adjustable structures, high porosity, and crystallinity, metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) deservedly have received considerable attention. Nevertheless, there is still room for improvements in the electrical conductivity chemical stability some MOFs, because which they cannot be utilized electrode materials. Fortunately, MOF derivatives widespread attention recent years, especially phosphide materials, are widely used practical applications their outstanding conductivity, excellent specific surface area, standout charge mobility. In this review, latest developments MOF-derived phosphides electrocatalysis related to energy, including performance terms electrochemical energy storage ingenious strategies, diversified synthetic approaches been emphasized summarized. Additionally, arduous task feasible proposals also discussed.
